When it comes to formulating our deodorant, skin & hair products there are a whole bunch of things to take into account, but our #1 priority is product safety.
Sure, it's great to use natural ingredients. And it's even better if the products get you sensational results.
But none of that matters one bit if the product isn't good for you.
With the cosmetics industry in Australia being mostly self regulated, and with ingredients lists becoming increasingly tricky to understand (even natural ones!), we felt like we needed to step up our accreditation game to give you some extra peace of mind.
The Woohoo team has been working with Safe Cosmetics Australia (SCA) to tackle the complex job of auditing every single ingredient in our range against strict safety criteria.
It has been a mammoth & mind-boggling task, and we were chuffed to come out the other side proudly sporting Certified Toxic Free, Certified Made Safe and/or Allergy Certified accreditations across our entire range.

We chose to work with Safe Cosmetics Australia because they offer a range of certifications under one roof so that you can be assured products tick all the big boxes: Safety, Allergy Friendly, Vegan, Cruelty Free. And they are an Australian organisation too, which is a big plus in our books.
Here’s the low-down on the accreditations that we’ve successfully added to Woohoo Body’s repertoire:
Certified Toxic Free - Formulated without any harmful ingredients. These products exclude and restrict the use of ingredients listed on the Safe Cosmetics Australia's Hot List. The hot list is a database of chemicals that are either excluded or need to be used with limitations.
The Made Safe logo - Naturally made safe for your family. Products are made to safer and cleaner standards. These products are made with high quality safe ingredients but also deliver high performance.
Allergy Certified - Formulated for sensitive skin. Potential allergens (including nuts and soy) are avoided or restricted in line with Safe Cosmetics Australia's guidelines. Ingredients that we use that may trigger an allergic reaction are highlighted for easy spotting. These ingredients are only problematic to those who have an allergy.
Cruelty Free Certified - We do not use any ingredients that have been tested on animals or test any of our products on animals. All our products are 100% Cruelty Free.
Vegan Certified - No animal based ingredients are used or used during processing of all our raw materials and finished products. Our products are still 100% animal free.

Plastic Negative - Woohoo Body works with rePurpose Global to remove twice as much nature-bound plastic waste as our packaging creates, making us officially certified Plastic Negative.
