Why your relationship with your mother may be the most important one you have

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mum’s, Grandma’s, Great Grandma’s and even the Mum’s to be.

The relationship we have with our Mum effects many parts of our life. It affects everything from our health and self-esteem to all our other relationships.

“The mother-daughter relationship is the most powerful bond in the world… Each of us takes in at a cellular level how our mother feels about being female, what she believes about her body, how she takes care of her health, and what she believes is possible in life.”
– Dr Christiane Northrup

So we should should all make more time for our mums and spend some time with them. It doesn’t have to be something extravagant. It could be meeting up for a mid week cup of coffee, a walk around the block or a written letter instead of a phone call.

This mother and her daughter (too shy to name names :)) are already onto something. They share a weekly Pig In Mud Mineral Mask session together. Mum says “we found having Sunday night face masks to be a lot of fun and it has become our mother/daughter ritual. Why not share with someone and have a giggle or catchup chat whilst the mask is setting?”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves

Have memorable day
Phoebe
