Ever feel like your skin is just too hard to please? It wants hydration, but creams and oils (even light ones) feel like far too much, and hydrating gels feel lovely but don't seem to last.
That has been Phoebe's skin challenge ever since we dreamt up our first natural skincare products back in 2010, and it's the reason Make My Day exists. It's been a bit of a revelation in our household, and Phoebe still sings Aaron's praises for it. In fact, it's now Aaron's go-to moisturiser too.
A gel cream gives you the lightness of a gel with the lasting moisture of a cream, and Make My Day is the only one of our face creams with hyaluronic acid. Then we added Moth Bean, a plant-based alternative to retinol.
Customers with oily and combination skin tell us it sinks in rather than sitting on top of their skin, and plenty keep it as their summer moisturiser.

Got very dry skin? Get creative and use Make My Day serum-style. Smooth Make My Day on first, then layer your richer moisturiser over the top.
Which of our face creams is right for you?
- Oily skin: 'Make My Day' Bio-Retinol Gel Cream, our lightest
- Combination skin: 'Perfectly Happy' if yours leans oily, 'Over the Moon' if it leans dry. Right in the middle? Go by the feel you like (feather-light or a little richer), or use both, like plenty of our customers: 'Perfectly Happy' by day and 'Over the Moon' at night
- Normal skin: 'Perfectly Happy' for a feather-light feel, 'Over the Moon' for richer moisture
- Dry skin: 'Over the Moon' day and night, or 'Sweet Dreams', our richest, for extra moisture overnight
- Sensitive skin, or prefer no added scent: 'Over the Moon' and 'Sweet Dreams' are made with sensitive skin in mind, and 'Make My Day' is fragrance free too
After cleansing and toning gently massage a small amount into your face, neck and dƩcolletage using our 'Press and Roll' technique (check out the video below!)

I love this bio retinol! It is a much more sensitive friendly alternative to usual retinol, and seriously helps smooth out the bumps I get on my cheeks. It doesn't irritate my skin or trigger my eczema, whereas a lot of artificial products do so. It's super easy to use and the pump gives out just the right amount. Highly recommend if you need something for sensitive skin.
