Can kids, tweens and teens use Woohoo skincare?
We don't advertise to kids, tweens or teens, but plenty of them use our skincare and it's a reasonable place to start. Young skin generally does better with less: a gentle cleanse, a light moisturise, and not much else.
If you're shopping for a teen, a simple three-step routine is a better starting point than anything aimed at a particular concern:
- Cleanse - 'You've Got This' Charcoal Cleansing Gel, or a Konjac Sponge with lukewarm water on its own if they'd rather keep it to one step.
- Mist - 'Tickled Pink' Clarifying Face Mist, straight onto damp skin.
- Moisturise - 'Perfectly Happy' Light Vitamin C Cream, which is light enough not to feel like much.
That is genuinely enough. Adding more products is the most common way a young routine goes wrong.
If using the Pig-In-Mud Mineral Mask, go easy to begin with - a couple of minutes is plenty for a first go. You can also soften it by mixing it with yoghurt or honey instead of water, as long as they've got no issue with either.
Patch test first. Pop a little on the jawline or behind the ear and leave it a day or so before using it more widely. Introduce one new product at a time so you can tell what their skin is actually responding to.
